OUR CHARITY PARTNER
LOOK GOOD FEEL BETTER
We are delighted to partner with the cancer support charity Look Good Feel Better which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year.
The charity embarked on its journey in 1994 to support people living with cancer and has helped over 200,000 people to date regain their confidence and self-esteem.
In 1994, its first-ever workshop took place at the Royal Free Hospital in North London. Fast forward 30 years and its services have grown monumentally. Workshops are now held in over 120 locations across the UK, including in hospitals, cancer care centres, luxury hotels, and spas. They have workshops close to all the locations we cover.
The workshops are free to join and offer practical advice to women, men, and young adults about changes during cancer treatment to the skin, eyebrows, eyelashes, hair, and nails and how to improve body confidence. Led by beauty and health expert volunteers, they offer a relaxing environment for people to socialise, make friends and talk to others facing similar challenges. Online workshops, tailored to address the common physical side effects of cancer treatment, are also available.
The charity’s mission remains constant: it wants everyone living with a cancer diagnosis to feel empowered, motivated, and less isolated – to look good, but most importantly to feel even better.
